You seem to forget part of your history, because it's convenient for you. TEST were once part of the CFC, they were taken in and taught everything they know. And has every child does against their parent, they rebelled. So for TEST to go back to their "roots" as you call it, that means going back to the CFC, and everything they stand for. I like what you guys are doing. I got around 30 Ospreys that I'll donate the the endeavor. I built them for sh!ts and giggles experimenting with production and I got a BP for some runs of other ships too.

I like the manticore but really any racial stealth bomber will do.

Last night I went to VFK and as soon as I jumped in I noticed a reaper. Naturally I killed it. Normally I would check pilot info to make sure it isn't somebody I wouldn't want to kill but I killed that Reaper so quick I didn't know I killed it!

Naturally I investigated its contents to see what it had been eating. I noticed a strange thing. It had a collection of 3 civilian miners in it!!

This brings up an interesting question: is it true the Goons are mining to pay the rent? That particular Reaper (and you can look up my kill on zkillboard to confirm) with 3 civilian miners, combined with the rumor of Goons mining to pay rent, really makes a guy wonder.

I checked the pilot info and another surprise! The Goon was only a day old!

There are definitely some changes being made with the Goons. I will stay tuned to see what happens next.

Why are you using Manticores, that have a kinetic damage bonus that is also what rats in goonland shoot? (And therefore, what their carebears will be well tanked against).

You should be in anything but a manticore. Personal recommendation is purifier for that glorious em hole on all shield ships.

Yes, you should use Purifiers. Please talk to Zed Mike for more details, he used to be pretty good at ganking Drakes with a purifier.

Goons and the rest of the CFC are lossing their foothold in Fountain and at the same time losing valuables moons here and there. The tactic of blue balling is not working as well as they thought it would.

As far as sov goes, initially Goons and the CFC were gifted five systems to give them a leg up on the invasion. At one point they had 15 systems, but as the month wore on, they have lost some and are currently at eleven systems. Unfortunately there is no solid way to track all the good moons that provide ISK, but the general agreement is they are losing more than they gain - allegedly.

I went to Raha, but BNI were blobbing.

So I set course to VFK.

I reached VFK.

I am now in VFK. I killed one of those orange Imicuses, and the pod! Take that The Mittani!

We had a great time yesterday with Harry. We managed to fly all the way to the hive's nest and also scored a couple of kills - but not the ones we wanted unfortunately. But it was very fun for a newbie like myself to fly all the way to Goonswarm's hq, stay alive to tell the story and on top of that win some pvp fights.

Today was a glorious day.

Admiring all that Harry has done I decided to make the run and take a peek at Mittanigrad myself. So I fitted out a dinkly little Executioner with more zoom zoom then pew pew. I mean, we arent fighting them in the normal way right? :)

The ride there was mostly peaceful, only a couple of sleepy dogs at the gate. Barely raised their snouts to sniff the air as another cat slinked by, jumped the fence, and was in their backyard. I skulked around a bit. Found a few spots I felt safe. Then decided to go look at where Mittens and his friends play.

Warped in, cloaked up. Like a cat pulling the darkness around itself I slinked closer on soft, padded feet. And there it was. Mittens basket is a busy place, lots of comings and goings. Cyno fields, ships of industry, ships of death.

And a rather odd thing...

A corpse floating a few kilometers off in space, right on their doorstep. Just sitting there. None of the many ships going about their rounds seemed to give it the slightest pause. I stared at it for a long time.

I wanted it. I had to have it. I knew I had to steal this dead thing from their doorstep as sure as a cat will lay a dead bird on the steps in front of its home. So I waited until nobody was looking. I mean, they knew i was there. They just didnt know I was there.

It was on the other side of the station from this dark, slinky cat. So I warped to a belt to to get the angle right. Whipped around like a cat on shag and warped right back on top of the corpse. Holy crap, its in my hold. And Im away...

Where are the alarms, where are the klaxons? Where is the barking gaurd dog to let Mittens know that all is not well? That a thief has trodden on holy ground.

I let them know in local. I let them know I walked up to their house and stole a flower. I am elated with my theft and it fills me with joy.

Then I notice the corpse...

It horrible. Dressed up in womens clothes and painted to look like a prostitute. Nasty dirty things have been done to it and I berate the goons in local that their appetites are this foul. :) And then I notice the tattoo. I ask the goons who was sick enough to tatto "Mittani's Wormhole" on the corpses a$$ with a tattooed arrow pointing to its poor, abused bung. This was just wrong. And then I thought to myself (and local) is this required of goons? Do they all have this? One shudders to think this is the price of admission into Goondom.

So I wait around a bit. Finally decide I miss hearth and home and go to leave. I know it wont be easy. I know they are planning and waiting and wanting back what I stole. Like Golem in his cave they want their preciooouuuusssss back.

I all goes well for about 3 jumps. Then I find them. I jump into CCP and they are waiting. They will take it back with sharp knives and cruel fists. With only moments to avoid the circling drone boats I burn back to the gate. Im targated, Im hit with Hells fury a hundred time over....

and I jump...

appearing on the other side with only a third of my hull intact. No time to sing praises (to Bast, the god of cats) I warp away to a hidey hole to lick my wounds. I sit there in my ship with the smell of burning wiring and super heated metal in my nostrils. In the smokey haze intermittently lit by sparks I see the reason for this is still intact. My goon corpse. My beautiful goon corpse is still mine.

Im sitting here now in the system as I write this. Goons flit about looking for an invisible cat. They wont find me. I will get this dead goon home. I promise you that. :)

I have been trying to understand for days now.

Herzog is a vet, his sole killmails are from sansha incursion events. He is that classic pubbie overlord, hating goonswarm for burn jita and just for being us. He has another alt in his corporation who tried to go to null sec last month and got killed at the moment he jumped in. Now he produces T1 frigates and destroyers for whatever this is in VFK... I would have hoped better for a 5 year vet.

GodProphet went to VFK in a cloaked ship, did not get killed in EC-P8R, nice.
Then he looted a corpses that was flying there... well that's .. something. But I still don't see the point.

Harry plays himself as the harbinger of our destruction. For now he kills cyno frigates. I will expand on this. VFK is a system with a cyno beacon so there is no need for a ship with a cyno to jump in the system. The cyno beacon let's anyone jump on it. The problem is that the cyno beacon is located on a moon. The capship is weak during the time it align and warp to the station. The parade for this is using a cyno frig on the station. This way the capital ship jumps right on the station and if one ship dies, it will be the 1m ISK cyno instead of the 1B capital. In a way, cyno frigs are made to be killed. cyno alts are less than 900 000 SP and the cost of the frig is usually 10% of the cost of the fuel needed to jump anyway (a JF trip is about 30m). So yeah right now harry is killing this. That's something too.

I must add: Goonswarm is currently at war, staging in B-D. What business is left in VFK? I have no idea. It is quite obvious you're invading an empty place. What is the point?


From reading all your report and stories, it feels that it is all some kind of roleplay you're doing, playing stories in your heads, telling them to your friends. All this is a bit of fantasy, a bit of fiction, a bit of dream. I must admit I let myself to dream of wonderful tales too sometimes. People see a cyno kill, but you imagine it is much more. Maybe this is the butterfly flaps in VFK that would bring chaos and destruction in B-D. Maybe this one cyno you killed, jammed all our logistic, prevented stocks to be resupplied in Fountain, and eventually will cause our destruction.

Bad news is, it is not exactly what happens, you're just flapping your cute butterfly wings in VFK. I hope you make the difference between the stories you tell yourself and what really is going on.

If you do want to kill nullbears, go in systems where they DO farm.

If you double click on sovereignty on a system you can see the level of the system. military 5 means the system is farmed (PVE)
high industry means minerals are being mined in the system.

Oh man, I totally want to get in on this. I have only been playing for like 7 days and I have no idea about anything that is going on though. I do have all my core training certificates which I think let me fly most Tech I's if I understand things right. I just need people that will explain a lot of this stuff to me. My corporation keeps telling me "Don't worry about that. Train your skills up first and then you can do things" but I don't like playing the game of "Sit and wait to play the game"

The only problem is I don't understand a lot of the stuff like I don't know about bubbles, or how to fight like some of the people in the videos or if I go to null sec will I be stuck there and not be able to get back to the rest of my ships when I do want to do quests or anything like that. Is it even worth doing missions? I don't know.

I've been using my last couple of days to practice scanning down and jumping into wormholes but my corporation even said I shouldn't be doing that yet. I hate the idea of "You have to wait 4-5 months to get skills to play the game"

Yes, this is literally the case since you light the cyno on station then worry about the other client and making that ship safe. Whether the cyno ship still exists to re-dock and do this again is an afterthought, since it usually costs less than the fuel.

Anyway, I posted in your other thread about how to do better than cyno ships.

Much lower value, we use nearly unfit T1 frigs for a reason.

Once you get to VFK-IV, you can enjoy some outdoor nature camping for days at a time. Just log off in your safe spot, and when you log back on, you'll be right there onsite in VFK. Looking at the killboard I see they baited you with a cyno and then killed you with 3 guys.

Keep in mind that you have to be in an alliance and need to have roles to anchor/online a SBU.

Do you honestly believe that Harry is the first combat pilot to make their way into vfk and "gank" the goons? Have you missed the Black Legion kills of carriers or PL/Test or 401k activity there? You appear to have bought and eaten a lot of Blue Donuts!! Considering most Goons are in B-d & now 4-E your probably seeing their alts & or pilots who jc back who are bored to tears if gudfigts aren't happening in fountain! Goons maybe, hell no maybe about, the biggest sperglords out there but they are a close knit community and make content within the game that suits them, their play style and the propaganda...you guys are just feeding the dementedness that is Goons!

One thing to consider: GSF is a big alliance, it is hard for us to get a fleet smaller than 20 people.

Edit: I think if we bring any of the armed ship listed here, you will just stay safely cloaked and you will be right doing so: it will successfully blueball 20 people.

I was planning on camping routes towards VFK with some instacanes and fast tackle. Do you think they'll come through EC-P8R? From the thread I reckon a few are coming so EC-P8R camping should do the job well enough. Enough people go through EC-P8R anyway, especially on Sundays.

Harry, what is your suggested route for the highsec warriors?

You are implying that they will make it past EC-P8R. Do you have alternative routes? Most people will just set VFK fastest route.

That was my point: If we take 20 ships (and again, it is very hard to do less) you will not engage. then it is a loss of time for us.

Its kind of awwwww that cute. Generally you guys are no more than an annoyance when people have other things that they need to do.

Highsec newcomers, a quick briefing if you haven't been following:
-Get in an affordable ship. Fit a cloak if you like. Cloaks are good for extended behind the lines operations, but not essential for more experienced people.
-Set destination for VFK_IV. Check your map for recent pod kills. If you see a glowing camp spot, consider your options. Decide whether to chance it or let them sit there bored. If you don't like the current scene, relax. Run a mission, do your exploration, whatever you're working on. Fit up your stable of reserve ships, take a smoke break, whatever. Come back and check your map again when you're ready. You'll see where some bored campers said, "Err, got to go, bye guys good luck."
-Plot your route. Remember your objective is to get past the highsec-nullsec border systems and get deeper into Goon systems. Any Goon system will work. Get there, throw down your sleeping bag, and plan on living there for awhile. Now you're in the bush and ready to go in any direction.
-Hang out in SpaceJunkys chat channel. Join up with other nature campers for combined shooting. Or tell jokes and post videos. Or just hang out and do your own thing, with your brethren.
-Watch out for lame spais in SpaceJunkys. No need to be paranoid-- you can spot them by the way they don't say anything, or are just all around bad actors. Again, no need to be overly suspicious. We know who's who.
-Pick off locals in Goon space. Say hello in Local first, if you like. They're mostly pretty friendly, some have pretty good b.s.. Send them to their reward in Goonvana, or see if they can manage to catch you and send you to 'Bear Mountain. If they do, suit up and do it again! That's what we do.
-Don't forget to entertain a Goon while you're at it. Damn they're bored.

Last note: Be in VFK before July 28 for the Goons Doomsday shoot-out event. They're looking forward to it at least as much as we are.

Stabs are an awful idea. You're in a Gallente ship which needs to maximize it's low slots, and you have thrown 66% of them away. It's actually worse than not even fully fitting your ship, since you have gimped other core attributes.

That fit will lose awfully to any properly fit destroyer, or just about anything else. It's a dire, dire way to try to learn PVP because you have absolutely no idea of your engagement envelope as you're kicking it in the head three ways to Sunday.

You learn PVP by properly fitting cheap ships and losing them in combat. You're dual-stabbing a throwaway ship which is a frankly bizarre mindset - it's worth losing ships for the actual chance to kill things instead of losing due to your massively gimped setup.

Harry, I know you won't change what you're doing because you're a special blend of clueless and stubborn but if anyone else is reading this and wondering how to learn PVP, then for pity's sake do it in RvB or something and learn how to fly fully fit ships.

There's a reason this guy just films himself shooting noob ships and dying to anything else and it has nothing to do with a lack of SP or ISK.

The stabs are denying a kill to the enemy. We can look at it this way: if he kills one ship, then runs off, he lives to fight another day. Of course it's a throwaway ship. Is there any need to tank it? Keeping a destroyer in one piece in solo PVP is hard. Heck it's hard enough to tank with one in PVe. I would consider them to be fleet support more than anything else.


So to get a kill, and then deny a kill to the enemy, is like a kill + 1. Think of it as a "dollar not spent is two dollars saved: the dollar you didn't spend and the dollar you still have".


But would we also not argue that perhaps the stabs are his tank? I've seen effective claims that "DPS is also tank" because the faster you remove enemy DPS the less DPS you experience. Are you saying that he would have equal chance putting modules into DPS instead of escape, or that the combination of turrets and "travel fit dual stabs" is a kind of omni-tanking (a big no no in the game it seems)?


Harry is running into situations where he is outnumbered, and the doctrine appears to be "tackle and wait for more goons". Harry is breaking that. You are probably right about gimping the ship, but Harry is not necessarily using the cat within the envelope of its intended role.

In the meantime, new paradigms of PVP and asymmetric warfare are at play here, so unconventional fittings are going to happen. I have some experiments in the hangar myself. I don't kid myself: they are more likely to be comedy kill mails than anything else, but it's a game after all and a sandbox too.

We can do what we want and find success through trial and error. At one point trial and error was an ISK sink before everybody (in both nullsec and highsec) turned into an overly serious ISK hoarder.

It just means now the goons need to use 2 tacklers, then he can't warp. It's not the end of the world. The fact that Harry has lost so may ships shows that using stabs to tank does not work that well.

Oh if that's the case, I must apologise. It's not me failing to process your data though, you'll need to get onto those EVE-kill guys. They seem to be showing you as losing ships on 20th, 19th, 17th and throughout the month! Clearly though you state that is not the case, so you'll need to get them to correct that. It may also be an API problem so maybe you'll need to petition CCP to get those incorrect losses fixed.

Jackie had an interesting convo with one of the nullsec bubble campers yesterday. Every point was the same "boilerplate" spew, "blob or GTFO", etc. They were mad because they didn't get the talwar in their bubble, and like a good destroyer pilot, managed to get out of the bubble under cloak. Their point was, 30 minutes of Jackie's time was wasted getting out of the bubble camp, but the map activity showed one kill in the hour, meaning they were there much longer than 30 minutes.

So they complained to another player about 30 minutes wasted escaping THEIR bubble camp, when they were there longer than that with no kills.

With these kinds of nullsec tears, the greifers are playing in the wrong parts of space.

Thanks for the concise explanation. 50% of the gates need an SBU right? A fundraiser for a couple of 100m shouldn't be outside of Harry's capacities, nor would be recruiting a blockade runner. The bottleneck is (unsurprisingly) the enormous amount of HP to chew through once it is vulnerable. This challenge is indeed outside of his options and choice of ships, but that might change. This 40 page loltrain is a start to Harry's stardom.



I am glad you find yourself in a target rich environment. Is that a Bestower with a couple of command centers I see on your killboard? I have only skimmed it briefly but it confirms the place isn't empty. While the value of what you killed was low, it's potential return on investment (PI) was high. You seem to be disrupting their PI chains at least.

If you feel like bashing structures, why not go for the Customs Offices? They have way less HP then the IHUBs and are obviously in use. Also requires more then a catalyst but a determined BC fleet can already knock 'em over, some Battleships will make short work of them. The how and when of such an operation I leave up to you, but good luck in your campaign and keep us posted!

I do understand. You want to show everyone that you can do what you want. But you can hang around empty systems anywhere, so it makes absolutely no difference. It's not something new to hang around in VFK trying to harass goons, but you guys are choosing to do it at a time when even the goons won't be there. It's completely pointless.
That and the fact that it's being orchestrated by an idiot and will probably result in you being killed by a random pipebomb before even getting to VFK destroys any ability for it to be a statement to anyone.

It's not dangerous is it though. The only danger is getting down here, then it's empty space. If you are really after danger, then fly down to Fountain, stage in an NPC station (there are a few) and launch micro attacks on people from there. You get to shoot a lot and may even get some good kills in as there's often frigates traveling around. That would be fun and dangerous.
